Hello, Welcome to this our third newsletter which has been designed to keep you up to date with developments and introduce new ideas and helpful aides to keep you in the loop with financial decisions in this area of your finances This edition has been sent out early because of the recent rises in long term fixed rate products and changes in the market. The newsletter is not designed to replace your adviser and I would reitterate that we are just a phone call away if required.
Protect Yourself As Rates Are Predicted To Rise As the graph above indicates, interest rates in the UK are at their lowest for 300 years and many homeowners are wondering if they should lock in their mortgage at these low rates in order to save money on their mortgage payments. Well just imagine how you would feel if the above graph was to happen in reverse !! The recent news from the mortgage market with home sales up 40% in March is positive indeed and offers a glimmer of hope that the current recession is nearing an end. With the end of the recession in sight, it is likely interest rates will begin to rise. The last two weeks have seen lenders withdraw their long term fixed rates and replace them with more expensive products. This movement in the market is significant as it indicates that the cost of long term money is prediced to rise or put another way, interest rates may shortly start to rise. There really has never been a better time to fix your mortgage interest rate in order to secure the cheapest available rate before they increase further and protect against predicted future interest rate rises At Independent Mortgages Direct NE we've made sourcing and arranging an appropriate mortgage product simple, your adviser will be more than happy to take you through the whole process from start to finish.
